Women’s Ministries

"...faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13

Women’s Ministries works to help women grow in faith, hope, and love by encouraging one another through Christ-centered education, prayer, fellowship, and service.  We offer Bible studies, affinity groups, and events to encourage women to build new and deeper friendships with other women.

Tuesday Ladies Bible Study meets on Tuesday mornings at 9:30am in the Cafe. Nancy Elson leads this group through an informative study through various books of the Bible.

Wednesday Ladies Bible Study offers a morning in-person Bible Study . They meet on Wednesday at 9:15am in the Cafe. Check the church calendar to see the current study and days since they do not meet year round. This group uses video-driven studies, featuring respected Bible teachers including Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and others, to help women live faithfully to Christ by the power of his Spirit.

Women’s Events are also planned throughout the year for women to enjoy time together building new and deeper relationships. Past events have included a ladies tea, garden party, painting classes, river kayaking, origami classes, and more. Check the calendar and events page to find upcoming events for women.

For more information about women’s ministry events or classes please contact the church office or Miranda.

We started off this year with an emphasis on prayer, and I would love for you to journey with me as we study different types of prayer in the Bible.

Do you have trouble thinking of words to say to God when you pray? Are you afraid some emotions are too intense to express to God? Do you reach the end of a day only to realize you haven’t prayed at all? You’re not alone. Prayer is the way we relate to God, but sometimes it’s a struggle. Throughout God’s Word, we encounter many voices who teach us how to pray.

In this 7-session study, join with six beloved Bible teachers who will help you study prayers in the Bible that can inspire your own. You’ll learn that God welcomes your praise and lament, your thanksgiving and intercession. You’ll see examples of how to pray when you’re alone and when you’re gathered with others. Above all, you’ll notice there’s no one right way to pray. As you draw near to God through prayer, you’ll find your faith strengthened and your heart united to Christ.

Benefits:

  • Explore the different types of prayer modeled in Scripture.

  • Understand how prayer unites believers to God and to one another.

  • Learn how to overcome struggles that keep you from talking to God.

COST: $20

TIME: Wednesday Mornings @9:15am for fellowship. The study portion starts at 9:30am
